Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas. On Christmas Eve we had a nice dinner together and then let the kids open one present. They loved them and didnt want to go to bed....but hey Santa was coming! Christmas morning I made some bubble bread and we opened presents. I loved seeing the kids so excited! It is the best present ever! Afterwards we got everything cleaned up and got ready to go to Jeff's parents. We snacked all day and opened presents. It was nice. Then we adults played Outburst and some other games. We got home around 10pm and the kiddos crashed...parents included! We went back over the next day to enjoy lunch with Jeff's sister and her hubby and kids. It was great to see them. Now it is the time of getting back into normal mode. I got all the decor put away except for the tree. That goes down this weekend. I cant believe 2010 will be here Friday. Where did the time go? Not to mention I have to go back to work January 20th. Definitely not ready for that. I mean I am ready to see my friends....just want to bring the kids with me. I dont think the hospital will be up for that though. Well, Jonah is fussing and I need to tend to my little angel. Will post more soon!

Eureka!

Well, Jonah's barium swallow was normal. He had a little nasopharyngeal reflux, but no aspiration! And as of yesterday I think we have figured out why he his having so much reflux and tummy troubles. He has oversupply colic (aka overactive letdown syndrome). In other words, I am making too much milk. It causes him to gulp in a lot of air trying to keep up with the flow and in turn causes a lot of gas. The good thing is it usually resolves by 12 weeks or I can try different feeding techniques to reduce production and flow. (i am sure everyone loves hearing about my breastfeeding ordeals-hehehehe) Anyhoo, the good thing is it is fixable!! I just talked to his pediatrician and he is referring us to an ENT doctor just to make sure and to check out his nasal passages. So we will see how that goes!! Yesterday wasnt the best. Brooklyn threw up twice so I am keeping a close eye on her! She kinda woke up a little less than perky. I am suppose to make dinner for a friend, but we might be cancelling that for another day! Depends on how she acts. Plus, I just dont have any energy today. Dont know why! I think I will need a nap today! Well, need to get some stuff done and feed Jonah!

Update on Jonah

Well...my poor little guy has had a rough start. He is such a happy baby (most of the time) but after he eats is another story. You can tell his reflux is really hurting his tummy and his is spitting up more and more. We started zantac and reglan, but it just doesnt seem to be helping. Today we are going in for a modified barium swallow study to make sure he isnt aspirating his food. I really hope he isnt. If he is, then I will have to pump every feeding and thicken it. But I will do whatever to make him happy. He is definitely growing like a weed though. He is almost (if not by now) 10 pounds and wearing 3-6 month clothes. He just turned a month on the 6th!! Jackson and Brooklyn are getting so big too. I cant believe Jackson is almost 4. He is so excited about his birthday party. That, and Santa, are all he talks about. He is such a big helper too. He gets things for me when I am feeding Jonah and cant get up and helps me with Brooklyn. He is so sweet. Last night Jeff asked him what he wanted to be when he grows up and Jackson said a hugger because he wants to make people feel better when they are sad. How cute is that? Brooklyn is getting a little sassier, but she doesnt forget to say I love you mommy every day! Well, need to finish up a few things before we go to the doctor. I will update ASAP!

Has it almost been a month?

Well I know I havent updated as often as I would like, but it has been one crazy month. It was interesting trying to get back to normal with three kids and then in the first week Jonah got thrush which made feeding him very uncomfortable. So we were on every medicine (it seemed) under the sun and I even got put on a no carbs, no sugar, no dairy diet (aka no fun) I am still on that diet...although I am a little more lenient now that the thrush is gone. On that for another week. Also Jonah has reflux so he cant lie flat and has some spitting up and tummy issues. So he is on zantac for that and we are waiting to hear from the doctor about what more we might try. Poor guy can get pretty miserable. Through it all he really is such a good baby. He only gets up once a night and he doesnt even cry then. He just kinda grunts and makes noises letting me know he wants to eat. But trust me he can still cry every once in awhile. Thanksgiving was great. We had a great time with family and it was so nice to just relax! I am now looking forward to Christmas. Jackson and Brooklyn are looking forward to it so much this year. They are really into it. They talk about talking to Santa, about reindeer, and when they see something on tv or in a magazine they are all about "I want that for Christmas.....please...if I am good?" It is too cute. Well..now that I am getting the hang of this mom to three thing, I will update more with more funny kid moments and pics of course! Happy Holidays!

Jonah has arrived!

Well....he is finally here!! Jonah Christian Clupny was born on November 6, 2009 at 5:20am. He weighed 7lbs 9oz and was 20 inches long. I went into the hospital at 8:30pm on Nov 5th. I got my cytotec (medicine to soften cervix) at 9pm. By 12am I was contracting pretty regularly. At 3am I was still 1 cm but contracting very hard. So I went from 1cm to 10 in 2 hours and then pushed 4 times. It was fast and intense, but so worth it. Jonah has been so good and is eating like a champ. Today we got home around 11am after waiting for his circ. Right now he is sleeping and I am thinking about getting a little nap in, especially since Brooklyn and Jackson are sleeping!! I am so thankful to all the people who helped me with his birth. It really was a wonderful experience and I am so blessed that everyone is happy and healthy!

We have a plan!

Well a date has been set. I am going into the hospital around 9pm on Thursday for cytotec (a medicine that thins the cervix). Friday morning (probably around 6am) they will start pitocin to get the party started. So Jonah will be here around Friday afternoon/evening. I am so excited....partly because I want to meet my little guy so badly and also because I am getting really uncomfortable. I had to take Brooklyn to the doctor today because she was acting really tired and started running a temp of 102! The doctor said she had a sinus infection and now we are on antibiotics for 10 days. Hopefully she will rebound quickly. Nothing like being in a house with a sick toddler and a newborn baby. Well, I am exhausted. I have lost all my energy. The last two days I cannot get into bed quickly enough. My next post should have pics of Jonah!!!! I am so excited!!

Happy Halloween

Well we had a nice Halloween. This past week was pretty busy with all the Halloween fun. On Wednesday we went to our church's fall festival. The kids had fun playing games and getting candy. It was also nice to see them in their costumes for the first time. Friday was trick or treating at Jeff's work. This was the first time dealing with Jackson's Ghostbuster Proton Pack. The thing was as big as him and it kept falling off because his shoulders weren't wide enough. He looked cute with it though. He was a big hit. Especially since he kept saying "I have to be careful. Cant cross the streams!" Can you tell he has watched the movie enough? Brooklyn was a cute bumblebee and she was "buzzing" all night. Last night was good. We went and visited Grandpa and Grandma Clupny before picking up pizza and eating really quickly. In fact we were eating and handing out candy. The kids started showing up early this year. Probably because the weather was so nice. I started contracting around 4pm and they were about every 10 minutes until 9pm. I took the kids through the neighborhood hoping the walking would get them closer together. Oh well....Jonah isnt ready I guess. Today we went to church and then got the house cleaned up. The kiddos are napping right now and it is crazy that I have the windows up. It is so nice out today and it is November! Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween holiday. Now onto the holiday season of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thank goodness I have christmas shopping done. I am really going to enjoy being off until the end of January.

Picture Day!

Well today is picture day for the kiddos. I just hope Brooklyn makes it. She is just fine, but her sinuses and allergies are a killer. She is my little snottie princess. As for me, I am getting better. Friday I had to leave work at midnight because I just couldnt breathe. My OB was there and tested me for flu, but luckily it was negative. She also did an US and confirmed that Jonah was sideways again. He is my little acrobat. She told me to call her if I needed some antibiotics. By 6am it was really bad and I called my doctor. So this weekend was just laying around doing nothing. Really had no energy let alone the lung capacity to do anything. Jackson, thank goodness, is fine. He is starting to have a little cough today, but that is all. Hopefully we can all get well before Jonah gets here. I dont want anyone sick around him! I have a doctor's appt tomorrow so maybe we can get a clue when my little boy will get here. Today I am just taking it easy and doing some light housework. I might even go to lunch with Jeff. Well, guess I will be useful!

And the sickness begins!

Well, now the parents are sick at the Clupny House. Jeff is going to the doctor afterwhile. He is practically coughing up a lung and starting to run a fever. I am just having sinus issues. Started with a sore throat and now onto the head congestion. Poor kids are bored because they want to go outside and we are like zombies. Hopefully we will get to feeling better soon!! My doctor appt went well yesterday. Jonah is now head down and I hope he stays that way. I am not dilated yet because he must have just turned....so let the dilation begin (I hope) On the 17th and 18th of October I had a baby shower. The 17th was hosted by some girls at church. We went to Olive Garden and then over to one of the girl's house to open presents. It was a lot of fun. On the 18th I went to Abuelos for a shower hosted by some girls from work. It was a blast. I am so grateful for great friends. Well, the kiddos are screaming and having meltdowns so I think I better tend to them. Hopefully they will nap well since I have to work tonight. Only 3 shifts more!!

Possible change in plans

Well we went to the doctor yesterday. Everything looks good except for one thing.....Jonah is stubborn. He is lying transverse (sideways) with his feet partially breech. The doctor discussed the possibility of a external version, which is where they try to turn the baby. I am not so sure about that. There are risks involved and I dont want to up any chances of a complication. So basically we are looking at a c-section unless Jonah decides to turn (which I am hoping for). I have a doctor appt on Tuesday and we will make some decisions then. Other than that we have been good. The kids are getting so big. The other night we were eating dinner and we told Jackson that is was good to try new things. He said "Mom, dad I dont think that is the case." I mean the boy is not even 4. He is too funny. Right now I am trying to get these kiddos to pick up their toys. They like to dump all their toys in the floor and then hate picking them up. We have tried telling them to pick out one toy at a time so then there is less to pick up, but they haven't gotten that yet. Maybe it will sink in when they get tired of always having to pick up toys. We will see!

Fall, Fall, Fall!

Today is the first day that I feel it is truly fall. The air is crisp (slightly damp) and if I had trees they would probably have color. I love fall! In fact I might have to make me some hot cocoa right now. Well, I am trying to be patient in my wait for Jonah but it is killing me. I am ready for him to be here now. I am so excited for my new little guy! Jackson got his stitches out yesterday and was a brave boy. I am so thankful that Brooklyn is my little princess (since we probably wont have anymore kiddos) She wanted her nails done last night so we now have fire engine red on our toes and fingernails. She just prances around with her hands in the air and her pink purse on her arm. It is too cute. Tonight we might go to the drive in to watch the newest Harry Potter. Jackson loves HP and hasnt seen this one yet. Well, I think I am going to make that cocoa, get the kids a snack, and then we can build a castle or play with some playdough.

Working toward a goal!

31 weeks Pretty Ballerina First Day of School 8/2009

Stitches on Oct 2, 2009 Hanging at Tulsa Zoo

Ok,
I am terrible at this blog stuff and my goal is to change this. I am going to post something here at least twice a week. I promise!! The kids are getting so big and doing and saying so many funny things that if I dont let my friends and family share in my mommy joy then before I know it they will be off to college and nobody will know anything about them. So here is one of this weeks posts. Jackson and Brooklyn are doing well. They started their mother's day out class this August and are doing well (although Jackson is still hugging a little too much-you know some kids dont like hugs) Jackson went to the ER this last Friday because he thought he would be Spiderman and jump off his little table and hit the wall. So he now has 6 stitches in his forehead. We are going to get those out tomorrow. I am now 36 weeks and ready for Jonah to make his appearance. Everything is pretty much ready for him....so anytime buddy. I am still working twice a week, but am so ready for maternity leave. Today I went to a coworker's shower and Jackson did the funniest thing. He was asking me what a boy's name was and I said "Ask him" So Jackson proceded to say "Ask him, oh Ask him....wanna play?" It was so funny. Well, I will have more stories I am sure. I promise to post later this week.

Ok, so I am terrible at this blog thing!

Yes, I know it has been forever. I am super terrible at this blog. It is just so hard to get on the computer let alone put stuff on here. I need to get my pictures developed from Silver Dollar City so I can post them. We went towards the end of June and it was HOT!! We really couldnt enjoy the park. Jeff had a great birthday and the Fourth of July was nice. I got called off and got to see the fireworks with the kids, although 3/4 of the time Brooklyn was screaming. We have gotten down all of Jackson's old clothes and washed them for Jonah. They are all in the closet ready to go. Jackson got a new bed (a twin) and is pretty much staying in it through the night. Just this past weekend we got Brooklyn a toddler bed and she loves it. Today she turned two!! Where did the time go? She is too cute and Jackson sang Happy Birthday to her. Today I had a doctor's appt and all was well (except I had to drink the sugary glucola drink- never fun) I now start going every 2 weeks which is exciting. It just means we are getting closer. I am 27 weeks and next week starts my third trimester!! Well, I need to get some stuff done and hang with the kiddos. I am working tonight but praying for a HC. It would be wonderful to be called off.

Ok, I think we have had enough rain!

Well, we definitely have had enough rain around here. I would really like the kids to be able to play outside. Not much new has gone on around here. I had my ultrasound on June 11 and we are definitely having a boy! Jonah Christian will be here soon. They are kinda wishwashy on my dates. I am due sometime between Nov 3rd and Nov 9th, so now I am anywhere from 19.5 to 20.5 weeks. Jonah is starting to move more, which I like. It's nice to feel them and know they are moving around in there. Jackson is getting so big and tall. Who knew with a 5'4'' mom and 5'9'' dad. Gotta come from the grandparents I guess. Brooklyn is getting sassy and definitely more girly. The other day we went to the grocery store and she wouldnt go without her purse and cinderella gloves on. It was too cute. I need to post some new pics and I promise I will. I am getting ready to go over to the grandparents again. We have been having showings on the house like crazy lately. Hopefully we will get a bite soon. Well, need to get the kiddos ready to go. Guess we will pick up lunch on the way. We will see what the kids and Jonah is feeling up to!

Has it really been over a month since I wrote??

Well,
I guess I am not doing so well with keeping up with the blog. We have just been so busy and I never seem to have any me time. The cruise was good and the kids just loved it. We are pretty sure we are having a boy, but my official ultrasound is June 11th. I cant believe I am almost 18 weeks and other days I feel like I should already be having the baby. I think things around here are starting to slow down, so I am looking forward to more time with the kids and some rest!! Well, I know this is short, but remember the no me time? That would be now...Brooklyn is in hysterics! I dont think she slept well. Gotta go!

It's going to be a loooooong week!

Well,
We leave for the cruise in less than 4 days and it is going to be the longest week ever! I have some last minute stuff to do for the Gala Girlies party and stuff before the trip. I am so excited so I know the week will last an eternity because I am so excited. I saw the baby on US last night and it was so cute to see a little baby kicking and moving around. Hopefully soon we can find out what we are having. Easter was good, although the weather was atrocious. Jackson loves his basket from the Easter bunny and the candy aint too bad either (hehehe). We had Easter lunch and then came home so I could get ready for work. Luckily I only had to work until 1am because we slowed down. I was super grateful because today I had to work on painting the lockers for our Gala Girlie party. As soon as the kids go to sleep I am going to finish it up (at least the main painting part. Well, I better get going. Need to give the kids a bath and get them into bed so I can finish my stuff!!

You need a vacation after getting ready for a vacation!!

Hey!
Who knew getting ready for a vacation would be so exhausting? My grandparents are taking our cruise bags with them when they drive to Florida, so we have to have them ready when they are ready to leave. Originally they were leaving this coming Sunday or Monday so I was like ok I will be packed by then. Now they are leaving Friday morning and I am in packing overdrive. It is hard packing for yourself and two kids...oh and Jeff needs help with his packing too!! So I have a few things left to get today and then I want everything all packed. My plan is to get the bags to grandma and grandpa early tomorrow because I am going to want to sleep after working all night and I have a girls night thing planned tomorrow night. Plus I am getting things ready for the party Gala Girlies is having and Easter is this weekend. Talk about being busy!! I am a little over 10 weeks and have a doctor's appt on the 16th! I get to hear the heartbeat!! Love it!! I am starting to feel a little better. The kids are just as cute as ever. They are best friends right now (according to Jackson). I hope that lasts. Well, I need to dry my hair and get going!!

I can never get enough sleep!!

Hey there!
Well, all I can say is I am exhausted. With work, and the kids, and all my other activities (the business, cakes, lessons, etc) I am so tired. Not to mention I am in the middle of my first trimester!! All I want to do is sleep and I hate feeling that way because I want to play with the kiddos. I am just so tired. It probably doesnt help that I worked last night so I am just extra tired tonight. The kiddos are playing and I am trying to get the upstairs cleaned. I also cant remember the last time I really cooked, and I love to cook!! Food just isnt appealing, so it makes it difficult to want to mess with it, ya know? Anyhoo, Jackson and Brooklyn are great. When I picked Jackson up from school today he just looked at me and said "Mommy I want my seat in the very back." See the kids sit in the middle of the van in individual chairs and then there is the backseat row. Eventually we want Jackson to sit in the back because it would be hard to put the baby in his/her car seat back there when Jackson could just crawl back there. So when he said that I was like OK!! Make my job easier. He loves being a "big boy" in the back. THe kids had their pictures today so I am excited to see how they turned out. Brooklyn's teacher said she didnt want to leave the bunny. Maybe we need a bunny? Yeah....dont know about that. Well, need to get back to cleaning and then fix something for the kids to eat. Hopefully my little peanut will let me eat something!!

Do I only update on Saturdays?

Well this stinks....I just wrote a very long blog and then it disappeared. Now I really dont feel like writing it all again. I better keep this short. Jeff has been really sick and I need to watch the kids. Dont need them sick. I will write again everything I did earlier.....maybe tomorrow!!

Another one joining the family!!

Well,
I know I have been bad about writing and I am going to try to work on that. On Monday Jeff and I found out we are having another baby!! Looks like peanut is due Nov 3rd. We are really excited. The kids still dont really understand, but it is cute to hear Jackson say he has a baby in his belly as he pulls up his shirt. Things have just been really busy for me. I work two night a week, have bible study on Wednesdays, am giving cello lessons once a week, and starting and working on a business. We do have a party booked and we are excited. I am also doing cakes on the side. I have one due next Saturday. What can I say...cant stop being busy. I know this is short, but the kids are still asleep and I would like a little nap. I have already gone through all the drawers in the bathroom and changing table (organizing, cleaned the house, started laundry, and paid the bills. Busy Saturday!!

Crazy Saturday

Hey!
I feel like I am going to spend the rest of my life on the computer. I started this blog, have joined Facebook, and started playing YoVille on Facebook. It really is quite addictive. Not to mention I am researching all the time for my business...ya know finding new things. Angela and I went shopping yesterday and got some really cute things. Anyone need a party...check us out at Galagirlies.com Anyhoo, we are about to run some errands so I need to get ready. Today's agenda: errands, open an account with Angela, clean house, try to spend time with family, and mountains of laundry. Hope everyone is having a great day. I am going to try to post more pics!!

Let the Melting Begin

Hey!
Well, what a week. We had that wonderful ice storm and now everyone is out of power. Luckily we had power most of the time and I thank God for that. Jackson had his birthday party on the 24th and just turned 3 on the 26th. Jeff and I watched videos of the kids starting from their births. It is so hard to imagine them so small and at times I miss it. They are just getting so big and definitely have minds of their owns. Jackson loved his birthday party. We had it at The Jump Zone in Bentonville. He had so much fun playing with his friends and I hope they had fun as well. My birthday is this Monday and I think we are going out to eat. Well, I wanted to get into a little more detail about this week, but Brooklyn has woken from her nap. Need to get my princess!!

Monday, January 19, 2009

Wow what a morning!

Hey guys!
Well, my day sure didnt start off the best. I just got home from working all night and I was so tired. I got the kids ready for school and was running a little late. Class starts at 9am and at 8:55 I was heading out the door. Well, then I couldnt find my keys. I then remembered well I think they are in the car (which is no big deal because I dont lock the car when it is in the garage) DId I mention Jeff locked the car? So here I am...exhausted...kids ready for school...and no way to go. I tried calling Jeff, but his boss said that he hadnt made it in yet, which is weird considering he left an hour ago. I tried calling his cell phone and of course he wouldn't answer. So an hour later he calls me and says he was at work in a different section and he told his boss this. He rushes home and takes the kids at 10am. I finally got to sleep. Here it is almost 5pm and I am still not quite awake, of course I had to get up at 1:30 to go get the kids. Oh well... The kids are playing and I am trying to get this pigsty cleaned up. Pretty soon the kids and I will eat and just play. Jeff will be getting home late and I am sure as soon as he is here I will pass out. Super tired! Well, hopefully tomorrow will be better!!!

Long time...

Hey!
I know it has been a long time, but I have been super busy. The kids started mother's day out classes again and I am so grateful. I might actually get to sleep after working all night. A friend from work and I have started a business. We do party preparation. Check out our website at www.galagirlies.com. Jackson is getting so big and his birthday party is in a week. Brooklyn is too cute with her looking in the mirror every morning and saying "I'm pwetty." Well, I know this is short, but Jeff is taking me to see Twilight again. I love it...even though the books are better.

Lazy day Sunday

Hey there! Well, good thing I left when I did Friday. That lady was 7 cm and we had a baby an hour later. Anyhoo, yesterday we took the kids to Chuck E Cheese because we promised Jackson we would once he started peeing like a big boy. He and Brooklyn loved it...wish I could say the same for me and Jeff. We loved that the kids were happy, but I hadnt slept since Thursday night and we had to run after the kids the entire time. We did learn that Jackson doesnt need tokens. His attention span isn't long enough to play a game for more than 30 seconds. We went also because someone was looking at our house. I really hope they liked it, but we havent found out yet. I am really ready to move. I like our house now, but the two stories thing is getting old. Well, we just finished lunch after church and now it is time for naps. I gotta nap because I have to work tonight.

Let the blogging begin!

Well, I am at work (labor and delivery nurse) right now and a fellow co-worker has introduced me to blogging. Just thought I would get started on what might become a time consuming project. I'll have to add photos when I get home! Well, excitement has begun at our house. Jackson has started potty training and is getting pretty good. He only had one accident yesterday and it was through his nap. I am so proud of him. Brooklyn is his little cheerleader and I am hoping she will get interested too!! Well, I know this is short and I would love to get into details, but we just had a lady come up who might be in labor. Better take care of her.
