Enjoying the holidays in our new home!

Well,

It finally happened! We closed on our new home on Friday December 17th. It was such a whirlwind of emotions, but mostly relief. We have been through so much getting to this point and we could have never done it without the support of our family and friends, and most importantly God. So after we closed we went to our old house and got ready to load up the trailer.

We got a really big load on the trailer and took it to our new home. We spent the night camping out in the living room on our mattresses.

The next day we got the rest of our stuff with the help of our movers, who by the way were awesome. If anyone needs to move I recommend Big Fellas. They were great and very reasonable! So over the next four days Jeff and I worked tiredlessly until 2am everynight to get everything unpacked and we did. The house looks great and I praise God everyday for our new home. I am so happy with it and know we have everything we could want in a home. Here are a few pics!

So we got all settled and hosted Christmas at our house this year. First the Clupny's came in the morning for brunch and presents and the kids had fun! Brooklyn sure loved Beauty and the Beast.

After the Clupny's left we got a visit from Mike and Shelley and then the Murphey clan came over. We had a very nice lunch, but not before we opened our presents. The kids were so excited and everyone had a really nice time. One's thing for sure we never leave hungry. We had soooooo much food. It was nice spending time with my family especially my mom. So now all we have left is just some organization and painting. This we can do in time, but for now everything is unpacked and we are enjoying our new home!! Thank you God for your many blessings!

Yucky yucky we've got a bug!

Hey!

Well it looks like we are passing around some bugs around here. This weekend it started out as a cold with runny noses, coughs, and sore throats. Then Saturday Jonah started throwing up. We thought it was only isolated to Jonah but lo and behold last night Jackson and Brooklyn started throwing up! No one likes cleaning up the carpet and stripping beds at midnight. The worst part was just seeing the kids upset and hurting. So today we are just lying around and relaxing as much as possible. The kids had toast for breakfast and some chicken noodle soup for lunch, as well as plenty of pedialyte to drink. Brooklyn is starting to turn around this afternoon so I hope that this bug passes.

Now onto house drama. They moved our closing yet again. We are now suppose to close this Friday December 17th. Jeff and I made a decision and told the realtor that if we do not close this Friday we are taking our house off the market. We started this house contract on Oct 12th and still havent moved. We have been packed since the end of October and the stress has taken its toll. We are not going to keep letting them change the date. Not to mention I am not going to live in a packed house without a tree for Christmas. Everyone has assured me that we will close this Friday so we will see. I just have to have faith in God and I know he knows what is best for us.

So hopefully the next time I post something it will be news that we are in our new house with pics for all you to see! Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. Merry Christmas!!

Chillin on a Sunday afternoon

Hey there!

Well today has been a pretty good little Sunday......our last in this house (as long as everything pans out this time). Last night I went to work as a favor. I worked till 1:30am and got into bed around 2am. My beautiful kiddos got me up at 7am which was good anyway because we had church. We had a good Sunday morning at church and came home for lunch. The kiddos and I headed to bed for a well deserved nap. I am so thankful for my hubby. He let me sleep until 3pm, which I certainly needed. This afternoon we took some shots for our Christmas card.

So now we are getting ready for dinner. My sweet hubby cooked! Afterwards I think it is time for some Eclipse action!! Hope everyone has a wonderful week. I pray we do as well!

Hey!

Well this past week was rough! We got a call Monday and can you believe it......they moved our closing yet again. The loan officer for the guy buying our house really isnt the best at the loan application process. So after my mini meltdown I figured what else could I do but wait one more week. I did talk to them and told them I am not waiting anymore after this and they better be sure we are closing. They assured me we are closing on December 10. So now the countdown is 7 days. It is getting rough because the Christmas season is here and I cant decorate...cant wrap...cant put up the tree. But we will get by and soon we will be in our new home. To make matters worse, my neck has been killing me for almost two weeks now. The doctor said I have occipital neuralgia and that my occipital nerve in the back of my head is pinched. After a week of pain, ibuprofen, and muscle relaxers I was feeling the same if not worse. I went for a deep tissue massage and that helped a lot. Unfortunately I did too much too soon and irritated it again. So I decided I needed to try a chiropractor. He did x-rays and said I have cervical kyphosis. Basically my cervical spine is straight when it needs to be curved. He said since I was pregnant basically for three years I maintained a pregnancy posture with my pelvis jutted out. My neck was just trying to compensate. I have degeneration already starting to show and calcium deposits in between my vertebrae. Yippee! So I am going to get adjustments 3 times a week. I started Monday this week and am already feeling better. Today I am just hanging with the kiddos.

This afternoon I have an appt with the chiropractor and then we are taking my grandpa out for his 74th birthday! I will post pics later!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Well, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I know the kids sure did. The morning of Thanksgiving we got up and had some french toast. And then the questions began....."mommy when are we going to Brie Anne's?" This year we were going to Tennessee to have Thanksgiving with my mom and family, but then our closing got moved to Dec 3 and we decided with Christmas so close....moving (and all the expenses) , and just the cost of the trip it would probably be good to stay home. So our friends, The Dixons, invited us into their home. They are close friends and we laugh a lot because Jackson and Brie Anne talk about how they are getting married. So of course from the moment we woke up Jackson and Brooklyn wanted us to get over there. We watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and hung out in our pajamas. The kids took a nap and then we headed on over. We had a wonderful meal and the kids had so much fun playing. We got home that evening and I got ready for work. Luckily it wasnt too crazy and we had a good night. I got home this morning and took a bit of a nap. Then we headed to Old Navy so I could do some quick shopping and then we took the kids to see Tangled. It was so good and the kids had so much fun. Afterwards we did a little more shopping and then headed home for pizza and movie night. We watched Beauty and the Beast. Now the kids are in bed and Jeff and I are watching Expendables. Tomorrow we are getting things out of the attic and just making sure all the boxes are in order. Tomorrow it will be 6 days till we move!! We are so excited to get into our new home and get life back in order and enjoy Christmas. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their holiday weekend!

Just a waitin'..........

Hey!

Well it looks like we are closing December 3rd, so yes we must wait some more. They probably would have been ready this week, but with the holiday they probably figured let's just wait. I dont like that we havent closed yet, but I praise God that we are getting to move in the first place. I am so grateful and excited. I cant wait to get unpacked, paint, and decorate for Christmas. I am so excited for the holidays in our new home. Unfortunately Thanksgiving is going to be a little different this year. We were suppose to go to TN this year and I was so excited, especially since we havent been there in 3 years. However, with the move so close and so much to do we figured it was in our best bet to stay home. I picked up Thanksgiving night at work and we are going to eat dinner before at a friend's house. Well, Jonah is feeling better. Friday he had his one year appt and he is doing well. He was 19 pounds 2 oz (little guy) and doing well developmentally. He can say 3 words (mama, dada, bye-bye) and has a few times said Brooklyn and Jackson. He isnt walking yet, but so close. This past Thursday I went to Jackson's class for a Thanksgiving banquet. It was a lot of fun and Jackson is growing up so fast. According to his teacher he is a lover and has quite a few lady friends after him. Now I am worried :) We put hot rollers in Brooklyn's hair for the first time this week and she loved it! She is my little girly girl. Last night Jeff and I went to see the newest Harry Potter. It was awesome. I cant wait to see it again. I am really looking forward to part 2 in July. Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. "Give thanks to the lord for he is good" PSALM 107:1

A lot going on in the Clupny House

I apologize for not updating in over a month, but we have had a lot happen around here. On October 9, 2010 we got an offer on our house and a few days later purchased a new one. That is right!! We are moving. The Lord has blessed us and we are so grateful. It is going to be so much better to have everything on one story. So we have just been packing up a storm and getting ready for the move. We had a good Halloween. Jackson was Iron Man, Brooklyn a witch and Jonah a dinosaur. The kids went to Jeff's work and did some trick-or-treating in the cubicles on the Friday before Halloween and then Jeff took the kids on Halloween night while I handed out candy. We are going to be eating on candy for awhile. We were going to close tomorrow, but there were some paperwork delays and now it may be next week. They will let us know soon. So for now we are pretty much packed just waiting to get into our new home. Jonah had his birthday on November 6th and we had his party at home on that day. I still cant believe my baby is now a year old. It just seems like yesterday I had him. Jonah has been pretty sick this month and we just went to the doctor yesterday. Looks like viral bronchiolitis. So we are on meds and an inhaler. Now tonight Brooklyn is running a fever. I just gave her some tylenol and I pray she is better in the morning. Well, I promise to keep up better. I will post pics soon, but for now I am TIRED!! Have a great night!
